Campus Partner Task Force to Prevent Sexual Misconduct
The Office of the Provost’s Campus Partner Task Force works towards improving coordination between community leaders and service providers to prevent sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, and to ensure a coordinated response both in terms of law enforcement and support services for our campus. The Task Force provides key members of the campus community an opportunity to
- Receive further education on issues that relate to sexual misconduct and the Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education Act of Illinois
- Gain a greater understanding of the University’s comprehensive policies on Harassment, Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct and Title IX Sexual Harassment
- Discuss prevention and identify best practices
- Analyze data on campus trends related to sexual misconduct
- Assist with disseminating information to broader campus constituencies
The Task Force works towards improving coordination between community leaders and service providers to prevent sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, and to ensure a coordinated response both in terms of law enforcement and support services for our campus.
The Task Force meets at least twice per academic year, but there are opportunities for further involvement of task force members, including Prevention Advisory Committee and Campus Climate Advisory Committee.
